Found Sounds: A Bi-Monthly Music Series

Found Books & Shop is partnering with Blue Willow Entertainment to bring you Found Sounds: a bi-monthly music series blending live performance with intimate conversation. Think Tiny Desk meets cozy listening room, with a touch of podcast-style storytelling.

Each event features a different musical artist who not only shares their songs but also the stories, inspirations, and creative process behind them. The result? An up-close, personal evening where music and conversation flow together in a way that feels both raw and inspiring.

Perfect for music lovers, curious minds, and anyone who craves connection through art, Found Sounds transforms our bookstore into a warm, one-of-a-kind listening space.

Nov 22nd, 2025 we welcome Jessie Dans to the stage.

Jessie Dans is a Canadian singer-songwriter based in Calgary, Alberta. She began sharing her music publicly in January 2024 with the release of her debut single, “Weight I Bare,” introducing a raw and emotional sound rooted in vulnerability and personal experience.

What started as a personal outlet has grown into a powerful artistic voice. Jessie creates music to connect—with herself and others—through honest storytelling and expressive lyricism. She collaborates closely with Los Angeles-based producer Connie Ryan of Loft 4 Studios, and spends countless hours in the studio with Calgary producer Made On Mars, shaping the sound of her upcoming EP, “Tom Ford.” A full-length album is also in the works, scheduled for release in early 2026.

With over 5,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Jessie is quickly gaining momentum in the Canadian music scene. Her music draws from moments of pain, reflection, and emotional complexity, often blurring the line between poetry and melody. Constantly exploring new genres and sonic textures, she continues to evolve as a dynamic voice in contemporary music.

Opening with Miarlequin:

Miarlequin is a casual interdimensional traveler who happens to be a whimsical music artist. Stuck between worlds, she tries her best to be an inter dimensional troubadour. Crossing her fingers she does not end up in an alternate dimension where there is no life on earth.

Inspired by various artists amongst different dimensions, including Mitski, Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky, Punc the singing Platypus and Steve. She vows to write her truth into music and thinks hard day and night to write lyrics she finds appropriate for expression.

Her first memory of a favourite food is jello, this event happened before any interdimensional traveling ever transpired. Short on words but never on melodies, writing music became the preferred method of communication for Miarlequin.
