We are pleased to announce that the presenter for our January 27th member’s “Zoom” meeting will be Frankie-Lou Fuller. Here is her bio and an introduction to her “Winter Sowing” workshop.
Gardening in this region can be challenging and using techniques that can help us get the most of our short growing season are a huge benefit. The Winter Sowing method with milk jugs is certainly one of those helpful hacks but requires a few extra tweaks with special considerations given to conditions like Chinooks, high winds, and late frosts. Frankie-Lou Fuller has been using milk jugs for several years to
produce strong, hardy veggie and flower seedlings without the use of indoor lights. During this informative and fun presentation, she will share her insights and lessons learned about Winter Sowing in Southern Alberta.
